is associated with any service. Therefore, to distinguish a trademark or
service mark from other trademarks and service marks, a distinct class is
properly assigned to it. Thus, the types or fields of products & goods and
services differentiate various trademarks and service marks in any country. The
Nice international classification of goods and services, which is recognized in
most of the countries worldwide, has classified various products and services
into a total of 45 distinct classes. This Nice classification is administered
and regularly updated by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization). The
Nice classification is also immensely convenient for trademark registrations
at international levels worldwide.
